What is this "Acies"?

The best way to describe the Acies is that it is the most important Legion function of the year. During this ceremony we will consecrate ourselves to Mary by renewing our Legionary Promise, so that we may better work in union with her as we do our Legionary battle against the evils of this world. In this consecration we open our hearts to Mary, so that she may guide us and bless us through the year. It is said that one cannot be truly devoted to our Lady's legion if one does not attend this ceremony, as you will not have within you her spirit.

The particulars of this function can be found in the Legio Mariae handbook on page 173. This year's Acies will take place on March 28th at 12:30 PM at Mary Queen of Peace parish located at 4423 Pearl Road in Cleveland.

My Acies will be on April 15,2018,,same day of the viewing of our friend who passed away so sad, I just almost 4 months as an active member of Legion of Mary, I pray to Mother Mary will forgive me,,I love you my mother, my Queen ,I just cannot do not to be with my friends family that day,,

I urge all soldiers of our blessed Lady, Mary Immaculate conception, to hold on to her with commitment and courage , faith and mentain all the legion function that shows our unity with her, especially now we are facing doom of corona virus all over the globe that She will never let allow us to perish , because she has giving us assurance of divine protections. May our devotion and commitment to God through Mary win us salvation. I don't remember the date i made my Acies commitment because i was young but Mary has a special place in my heart.
