On September 4th, the Legion of Mary held its yearly Eucharistic Procession from the Cathedral of Saint John, around the adjacent streets of Downtown Cleveland. The event started with Mass, and then the Procession. The Cleveland Comitium's Spiritual Director Reverend Father Kevin Estabrook led the Mass, and the Procession. Afterwards, all returned to the Cathedral for the Legion Prayers and Rosary, and Benediction. The weather was beautiful, and the event was well attended.

Saint Charles Borromeo Parish and their Praesidium "Our Lady of Guadalupe" held a Congress on August 7th. It was a prayerful day, with lively discussions centered around Our Lady's Legion.  

​A Eucharistic procession and Patriotic Rosary took place through the streets of downtown Akron on July 3, 2021.  Beginning at St. Vincent de Paul Church and ending at St. Bernard’s, priests from the parishes of St. Bernard, St. Vincent, St. Francis de Sales, Queen of Heaven, St. Anthony of Padua and St. Sebastian, joined the faithful in praying the Patriotic Rosary, praying for all offices of government and each of the 50 States. Organized by the Legion of Mary, Our Lady of Humility Praesidium, the procession attracted faithful from all over Northeast Ohio. “We had over 100 people in the procession, another 100 at St. Bernard’s, and another 2 dozen at St. Vincent’s, all praying the Rosary simultaneously” commented Ro Reed, President of the group who organized the event. “It was beautiful to witness the outpouring of support from so many Pastors and parishioners who share our desire to bring Jesus and Mary into the Community.”  For more information and to learn of upcoming events, visit www.LOMOLOH.org.  (Photo credit:  Cliff Franks, Buckeye Drone Photography.) 

The Cleveland Comitium will also hold a Eucharistic Procession on September 4th at St. John's Cathedral starting with Mass at 11:00 AM.

Saint Sebastian from the Akron Curia is hosting a Rosary Drive to celebrate Our Lady's Nativity. The information is quoted below:

"We are once again hosting a rosary drive for Our Lady's Birthday.  If you could forward this to all the Praesidia in the area that would be great.  
 
The Legion of Mary Our Lady of Humility praesidium is once again hosting a rosary drive in honor of Our Lady's Birthday.  We have a goal of 15,000 rosaries prayed between May 1 and Sept. 8.  Last year, between June 1 and Sept. 8 we reached 6,053. (Note the correlation to the number of prayers in each rosary.  :-)  ) 
 
You can enter your rosary as it is prayed daily, weekly, monthly. Or you can fill out a pledge card (found in the Narthex of St. Sebastian Church) OR you can message [email protected] with your total and we will add it to the counter.

St. Louis Marie de Montfort contributed so much of the Legion's beliefs that are incorporated into our Legion system. 

Let us Pray...
 St. Louis Marie de Montfort, patron of the Legion of Mary, slave of Jesus in Mary, pray for us!  Apostle for the end times, pray for us!  Apostle of the Most Holy Rosary, pray for us!  Powerful intercessor before the throne of God, hear our prayer and ask God to grant through your intercession the growth and strengthening of the Legion of Mary in our diocese for the salvation of souls and the glory of God.  Ask God to provide that those who make the Consecration find the Legion of Mary the answer to living it out, and that all legionaries be renewed in the spirit of their baptism and faithfully serve Jesus through Mary.  We ask this in the Name of Jesus who lives and reigns through the Holy Spirit with the Father, one God, forever and ever.  Amen

On Saturday October 11, the Acies was held at Saint Ambrose church in Brunswick. According to the handbook, the Acies is normally supposed to be held near the Feast of the Annunciation in March, but the Covid pandemic forced us to move it a safer date. The event was well attended with around 70 people there, as we renewed our consecration to our Blessed Mother as members of her army in "Battle Array". 

Saturday September 5, 2020 our Cleveland West Comitium held its second annual Eucharistic Procession. Words cannot describe the joy we all felt processing through downtown Cleveland with Our Eucharistic Lord, but Father David Baugh, spiritual director to the Cleveland East Curia, expressed our sentiments well in a message he sent the day after the event:
 
Thank you and all the others who brought together a very special event for our diocese, our city, and the Legion of Mary.  It was truly an historic event.  I do not know how long since the Blessed Sacrament was carried through our city, other than at local parish celebrations, not since the last Eucharistic Conference (c. 1936).  In the Scriptures Jesus said "I have other towns I must visit"  Yesterday He came in a special way to our town, a public reminder that HE is  for ALL people "The Word" that we must hear.  The turnout was very impressive.  They came from all parts of our diocese.  I hope they bring this back to their parishes.  Of all we might do for our faith, nothing compares to focusing on Our Eucharistic Lord.  Legionaries have not been able to do their "work" since the beginning of the Pandemic.  Yesterday the Legions did "The Work."  Evangelism begins and ends with Jesus.  May this be a special emphasis to the Legion's work of evangelization.  We started small last year.  With Fr. Kevin [Estabrook] and all who assisted we took a giant step forward this year. May this become an annual and growing demonstration of the Center of our faith to the cities of our diocese. It lovingly counteracts so many anti-Christian marches, riots, and demonstrations. Our thanks to our Blessed Mother -- and all her helpers -- for bringing this about.
